Types of Lies
Wrong statement – the “liar” believes the claimed untruth, either due to an error or due to a state of denial.
Half truth – the liar cherry picks bits of information that support his claim,
while intentionally omitting the facts that contradict it.
Distorted statement – the liar exaggerates or minimizes the real facts of the story.
Restructured statement – the liar changes some of the facts in a real story or its background.
Fabrication – the liar invents a false story with no basis in reality.
Brainwashing – the liar uses various repeated lies and even psychological technics, in order to convince the “victim”.
